Healthcare/Behavioral Health HUB Grants Massachusetts Advancing Pathways for International Talent (MAP‑IT) Healthcare/Behavioral Health HUB Grants Massachusetts Advancing Pathways for International Talent (MAP‑IT) The Workforce Competitiveness Trust Fund supports programs that help people facing barriers to employment gain the skills and opportunities needed for long-term economic stability.

Serves unemployed and underemployed individuals, including those relying on public benefits, disconnected from the workforce, or without formal schooling Provides targeted training designed by employer partnerships to match real industry needs Increases worker skills, incomes, and retention while fostering career advancement Trains individuals for jobs in a wide range of sectors, including but not limited to health care, financial services, and information technology Healthcare/Behavioral Health Hub Grant Regional MassHire Workforce Boards are partnering with local healthcare employers and education and training providers to meet the growing demand for skilled workers.

Together, they provide job training and support to adults preparing for in-demand healthcare careers.

Recruit and train unemployed and underemployed individuals for in-demand healthcare and behavioral health positions Offer training and career advancement opportunities for current entry- and mid-level healthcare workers Partner to build a more competitive and resilient healthcare system across Massachusetts Grant Period: 2024 – 2026 Supporting ESOL services and career readiness for individuals who resided in Emergency Assistance Shelters in Massachusetts and other individuals who could benefit from ESOL services, supporting them in securing unsubsidized employment and promoting economic stability.

The Massachusetts Advancing Pathways for International Talent (MAP‑IT) Initiative is designed to unlock the full potential of internationally trained professionals currently underutilized in Massachusetts’ workforce.

Targeted investments in credential evaluation, occupational training, ESOL supports, and wraparound supports Accelerated pathways for skilled immigrants to re-enter their professions High-demand sectors such as healthcare, education, and advanced manufacturing.
