Workforce Development Services Job Trainings | Employment Testing & Training | Business Consulting Workforce Essentials is a private, non-profit corporation specializing in unique business solutions for employers and innovative training opportunities for individuals. Our main office is located in Clarksville, TN, but we serve the entire state with over 200 skilled employees, in over 40 counties in Middle and West Tennessee.
We have also expanded several of our workforce services to include online education and training for employers and employees. We have been in the workforce and economic development industry for nearly thirty years and offer a wide variety of resources to help businesses and individuals meet their goals. We are committed to providing solutions that work.
At this time, Workforce Essentials was operating grant programs under the Tennessee Job Training Partnership Act and the Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act.
Workforce Essentials was selected by the North Tennessee Workforce Board and local elected officials to deliver workforce development services for the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development in a 9 county area of Middle Tennessee, known as Local Workforce Investment Area 8.
At the time, our services included administration of the Tennessee American Job Center System and delivery of adult, dislocated, and youth programs to job seekers and employers. At this point, Workforce Essentials was one of the original contractors to the Department of Human Services in the JobsWork program. Through the years, Workforce Essentials has been a committed and successful partner with the DHS in the Families First program.
Since our humble beginnings, we have helped tens of thousands of Tennesseans become self-sufficient through job training and job placement assistance. In addition to our individual job assistance programs in Tennessee, we have expanded our business services into several states. We’ve grown to offer drug and alcohol testing, employee assessment and training, and business consulting to surrounding states.
In the coming years, we will continue to develop and explore creative ways to serve our communities with solutions that work. We are fortunate to have a talented group of individuals who volunteer their time by serving on our Board of Directors.
