Apply for a Grant – The Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation Apply for a Grant Nicole Baran 2025-10-29T20:30:46+00:00 The Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation uses a three-step application process: We are very intentional about ensuring an organization fits very clearly in our intersectional feminist focus; therefore, we look for mission statements and external messaging that emphasize the intersection of gender AND racial equity and justice, rather than just one or the other.

We focus on programs that prioritize the combination of both gender and racial equity and justice because less than two percent of philanthropic dollars go towards women and girls as a whole; it is less than half of one percent for women and girls of color. We do not have unlimited funding, so we are trying to move that needle in any way we can .

Step 1: Submit an Organization Information Form To avoid wasting your time, the Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation does not accept unsolicited proposals. Please review our Current Grant Opportunities and Eligibility Requirements, and submit an Organization Information Form if you believe that your organization meets our guidelines.

The Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation uses this form to gather information about organizations interested in applying for a grant. If the Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation is interested in receiving a proposal, a staff member will contact you. Step 2: If invited, submit a proposal Organizations invited to apply for a grant from the Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation are required to submit a proposal.

Foundation staff and the applicant will agree upon its submission deadline. If you are invited to submit a proposal, do not hesitate to contact us with questions about the application. Please see Proposal Instructions for complete submission details.

Step 3: Review by the Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation The proposal will be reviewed by the Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation. Applicants will be notified about the Foundation’s interest within two months following the submission deadline. If the applicant is selected for further consideration, Foundation staff may schedule a meeting to discuss the request.

At that time, further materials or additions to the proposal may be required. A request for submission of a proposal does not guarantee eventual funding for the request. Unsolicited proposals will not be accepted.
