MAKING A DIFFERENCE ACROSS WYOMING The Wyoming Innovation Partnership is transforming communities across the state by serving as a driving force behind workforce development efforts in energy, healthcare, tourism, tech, agriculture, and more. From robotics and nursing to software development and advanced manufacturing, see how colleges and industries are collaborating to create lasting impact right here in the Cowboy State.
As Phase III comes to a close, WIP is already preparing for the future. A new partnership with the Wyoming Business Alliance (WBA) and its affiliated Wyoming Heritage Foundation (WHF) will help sustain and expand the impact of WIP.
With decades of experience cultivating business relationships, advancing economic initiatives, and leveraging private funding and grants, WBA and WHF are uniquely positioned to guide WIP into its next chapter. This new phase of collaboration means continuity, sustainability, and growth for years to come.
It reflects the original vision of WIP: that when Wyoming unites its resources, expertise, and determination, the results benefit the entire state, from students and workers to industries and communities.
WIP’S MULTI-YEAR BLUEPRINT INCLUDES FIVE BROAD AREAS: Strategically develop the academic and skill development pathways that will advance the state, and its workforce, through collaboration and efficient use of state-wide resources Support and train entrepreneurs, facilitate new business starts, and support small business retention, succession and expansion Partner with economic development organizations and companies to recruit, expand, and relocate new businesses to Wyoming Provide the support infrastructure to allow for research to develop Wyoming-based commodities Develop business partnerships and attract private funding (matching programs, sponsored research, apprenticeships, internships, etc.).
