State Benefits - Wyoming Military Department The existing Referral Bonus Incentive Program provides a $500 monetary payment to a Wyoming National Guard member for referring an applicant who successfully joins the WYNG. Beginning 1 July 2026, the Referral Bonus Incentive Program will be expanded to allow current WYNG members, current WYNG recruits, retired WYNG members, and Wyoming Military Department employees to participate.
The monetary payment will also increase to $1,000 per successful accession. Please note that these payments are taxable and must be reported to the IRS. Applications must be submitted online through the WYMD Benefits Portal and forwarded to the appropriate recruiting office.

19-9-403(e). Referral Bonus User Guide Military Assistance Trust Fund The Military Assistance Trust Fund provides emergency monetary grants in support of Wyoming service members and/or families whose financial hardship relates directly to state or federal military duty. Grant requests must initiate with the affected service member’s unit for consideration, followed by submission of an online application through the WYMD Benefits Portal.

19-7-402(c). Military Assistance Trust Fund Dependent Care Reimbursement The Military Assistance Trust Fund also provides reimbursement for dependent care expenses incurred by Wyoming National Guard members while serving in a military duty status for up to 39 calendar days each year.
Applications must be submitted online through the WYMD Benefits Portal, validated at the unit level, and submitted to the appropriate family programs office. State Rule promulgated by authority of W. S.
