, including autism-related services, with a focus on helping people help themselves.

Community Fund Grants Guidelines - Yocha Dehe Community Fund Grants Guidelines Community Fund Grants Guidelines Committed to building strong communities. The Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation is committed to building strong communities and helping those in need. In 2000, the Tribe established the Community Fund to advance this mission.

To date, the Community Fund has established partnerships with 500 different organizations throughout Yolo County, the state and nation, and granted nearly $46 million in philanthropic aid to support programs and initiatives dedicated to assisting people in need. The Tribe’s Community Fund Board Members are actively involved in the grant process, participating in site visits and reviewing the progress and outcomes of funded programs.

Some of the recently funded programs are the Robinson Rancheria Environmental Center, Healthy Vallejo Community Support Services, American Indian College Fund, and Autism Speaks.

The Community Fund prioritizes applications that focus on: Stewarding the Natural Environment Native Rights and Tribal Sovereignty Native Health and Wellness Community Funds grants range from $5,000 — $250,000, with most grants falling in the $25,000 — $50,000 range for programs. Community Fund event sponsorships usually range from $1,000 — $5,000 for events taking place in the same calendar year.

Community Fund donations are capped at $1,500 and are a one-time support available for community programs. Grants are awarded for a one (1)-year term with an interim report due at the six (6)-month point and an annual report due at the end of the term. fluxx. io/ LOIs are reviewed quarterly by the Community Fund. If the LOI is approved, applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal, including financials, and make time for site visit.

Site visits are an integral part of the Community Fund grantmaking process. Final grant decisions are made quarterly.

Applications are reviewed on their strategic alignment with Community Fund priority areas, the proximity of the applicant’s leadership to the community they are serving, the community need demonstrated, the credibility of the solution proposed to serve that need, a description of how the grant will make a difference in that solution, the financial stability of the applicant to carry out the work, and the clarity of the budget on how funds will be leveraged to make an impact.

Sponsorship and Donation requests are reviewed monthly. If approved, sponsorships and donations can take up to an additional month to process, so applications need to be submitted with at least two (2) – three (3) months lead time.

Community Fund focuses on grantmaking within Patwin traditional territory in Yolo, Solano, and parts of Colusa, Napa, Lake and Sutter counties, with some state and nationwide grants to Tribes (regardless of federal or state recognition), and Native organizations. Grants may be made to non-profits with current 501c3 designations, Tribes or Tribally designated non-profits, or fiscally sponsored programs.

Community Fund does not grant to individuals, grassroots groups without a fiscal sponsor, for-profit business, or international NGOs. An organization may only apply for support or donations once a year to any of Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation’s programs and affiliates, including Community Fund, Doyuti T’uhkama, Cache Creek Casino, and Séka Hills.
