Yoga Service Grant | Empower Through Yoga Practice Today — Give Back Yoga Foundation EMPOWERING YOGA TEACHERS AND THERAPISTS TO EXPAND ACCESS, EQUITY, AND HEALING IN UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES. Applications accepted September 1 – September 30 We believe yoga service fosters healing, builds equity, and drives meaningful change.

Since 2007, the Give Back Yoga Foundation has supported yoga teachers and therapists bringing yoga to people with limited access to the practice—especially those facing mental, physical, or systemic hardship. Our Yoga Service Grants help launch or expand outreach projects that make a long-term impact in underserved communities.

This includes work that brings yoga into healthcare systems, schools, correctional facilities, and other institutions—advancing the recognition of yoga as a powerful tool for individual and collective well-being. We support leaders who are not only offering the practice, but transforming the systems in which it's delivered.

Be a certified yoga teacher (registered with Yoga Alliance) or a credentialed yoga therapist (C-IAYT) Be leading an ongoing service project (not a one-time offering or short-term event) We fund innovative and impactful service projects, including but not limited to: Institutional Integration Advocating for the inclusion of yoga in schools, healthcare, or correctional systems as a sustainable and cost-effective health intervention.

Expanding your project to reach more people through teacher training, online access, or community partnerships. Community-Responsive Programs Designing yoga offerings for specific populations, such as veterans, refugees, or people living with chronic illness or disability. Implementing and evaluating yoga practices using research-informed protocols for self-regulation, healing, or behavior change.

Demonstrating exceptional effort—such as sustained volunteer work, overcoming challenges, or consistently exceeding goals. Note: This award is distinct from the SEVA Award co-presented by Give Back Yoga and IAYT.
