18 Webinar: Understanding MRD Testing in Melanoma Register now -> 2026-2027 Request for Proposals 2026-2027 Request for Proposals The Melanoma Research Alliance (MRA) is pleased to announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) for pre-clinical, translational, and early clinical research with the potential to produce unusually high impact, near-term advancements in melanoma prevention, detection, diagnosis, and treatment.

This cycle, proposals will be accepted for Established Investigator Awards, Academic-Industry Partnership Award (for Established Investigator Awards), Young Investigator Awards, and Pilot Awards. MRA plans to support at least $7. 9 million in new funding in the 2026-2027 cycle.

Special Opportunities Included in RFP: Acral Melanoma Established Investigator, Young Investigator, and Pilot Awards focused on Advancing Translational Research for Acral Melanoma Uveal Melanoma Established Investigator, Young Investigator, and Pilot Awards focused on Advancing Translational Research for Uveal Melanoma Established Investigator, Young Investigator, and Pilot Awards from applicants based in the United Kingdom (UK) Established Investigator, Young Investigator, and Pilot Awards from applicants based in Israel Young Investigator Award co-funded with the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO) Please Note the Following Key Deadlines: August 21, 2026: Letters of Intent (LOI) due for Established Investigator Awards and Established Investigator Academic-Industry Partnership Award September 14, 2026: Eligibility Checklist and Biosketch due for Young Investigator Award applicants November 5, 2026: Proposals due for Young Investigator and Pilot Awards December 10, 2026: Invited Established Investigator Award full proposals due April 2027: Awardees notified of funding decisions June 1, 2027: Project Start Date All proposals are due by 5:00 pm Eastern Time.
