USATF Foundation | Applications Elite Athlete Development Application Elite athletes are asked to complete an application every year they would like to be considered for a grant. The suggested time frame for application submission is during the months of May or June each year. Our deadline for submission is July 17th.
Please read the eligibility criteria before starting the application. Youth Club Grant Application Youth track & field and running clubs are invited to apply for financial assistance. Applications for a Youth Club Grant will be accepted throughout the year, with an annual deadline of January 31st, and grants will be awarded in March.
Grantees will be contacted directly if they should be selected. Preference will be given to clubs that are affiliated with USATF. No more than 10% of Foundation grant resources will be allocated to school districts, these grants are meant for Youth track & field and running clubs.
Applications with requests for funding for coaching and/or administrative salaries will not be accepted. Examples of allowable expenses are as follows: equipment, uniforms, meet fees, travel, facility rental, staff and volunteer training, and outreach.
At this time the Foundation is unable to accept facility requests such as track resurfacing, funding for new tracks, etc. As much as we would like to be able to assist with these important inquires it is out of scope for our Foundation at this time. The USA Track & Field Foundation may be able to provide support to certain Elite Track & Field / Running clubs in the US.
Maternity Grant Application To be considered for a USATF Foundation Maternity Grant, please begin by filling out the Elite Grant Application listed above. Our Maternity Grant Committee will utilize the application information to consider your grant request. In addition to the Elite Grant Application please send along a formal letter for the committee to review.
USATF Foundation is accepting formal letters of request for funding throughout the year. The Maternity Grant committee will consider and award grants on a quarterly basis dependent on available funding.
Burgess Family / Usatf Foundation Educational and Vocational Tuition Reimbursement Program The USA Track & Field Foundation has partnered with the Burgess Family Foundation to offer tuition reimbursement for grantees pursuing educational or vocational training.
A few examples are not limited to but include master’s programs, doctorate programs, and vocational certification exams or courses (Certified Financial Planner, Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Certified Associate in Project Management, coaching, real estate licensing course, etc.).
The USATF Foundation provides a means to attract and guide funds to new and innovative track and field programs with an emphasis on providing opportunities for youth athletes, emerging and experienced elite athletes, along with guidance on future career paths. The Foundation depends upon donations from its Board of Directors, major gifts, and from generous fans of track & field.
Elite athletes are supported by the Foundation via monetary grants, career counseling (mentoring and jobs) and participation in Run With US!. Youth athletes are supported via monetary grants to youth clubs.
