Youth Sports Enhancement Grant Program is sponsored by Orange County Neighborhood Services Division. This program provides financial support to qualified, volunteer organizations that operate youth sports programs, are open to the public, and do not require participants to meet exclusionary qualifications in Orange County.

The grant allows for projects with a total cost up to $15,000 and requires a 50% match from the neighborhood organization (max $15,000 grant award). Examples of projects include neighborhood entranceway signs, entranceway and community lighting, neighborhood playgrounds, pressure washing and painting neighborhood walls, and structural wall repairs.

Other projects may be approved at the discretion of the Neighborhood Grants Advisory Board (NGAB). Neighborhood organizations may only receive one grant every two years. A sustainable community is one that is economically, environmentally, and socially healthy and resilient. By working together, we enhance the quality of life for current and future generations. Funding is available in the form of grants to help neighborhoods stay safe, healthy, and connected.

Grants are available for projects ranging from $500 - $5,000. Eligible projects can address issues such as sustainable lighting, community gardens, and pollution reduction. Events are also encouraged to help teach community members about energy efficiency, pollution reduction, and green and sustainable practices.

net The purpose of the Orange County Youth Sports Enhancement Grant Program is to provide financial support to qualified, volunteer organizations that operate youth sports programs, are open to the public, and do not require participants to meet exclusionary qualifications.

Orange County intends to award this grant on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible 501c3 youth sports programs to build character, enhance physical fitness, and provide mentoring and guidance to Orange County’s youth. Orange County Neighborhood Services Division administers funds through the Youth Sports Enhancement Grant Program.

Funds are awarded to qualified volunteer organizations operating youth sports leagues on public or private properties that provide public accommodations and are located in Orange County (County-owned properties are not eligible). These funds must be used to assist with capital improvement projects (“CIP”).
