ZAP (Zoo, Arts & Parks) Program is sponsored by Salt Lake County. Enhances resident and visitor experiences through grants to qualified nonprofit organizations in categories including zoological services.

Tier II Funding - Zoo, Arts & Parks (ZAP) | Salt Lake County The Zoo, Arts and Parks (ZAP) Tier II category provides funding for diverse arts, cultural, historical, and botanical organizations not funded in Tier I, including the local arts and cultural councils in Salt Lake County. These organizations are instrumental in providing affordable access to arts and cultural opportunities in the community.

Organizations range from volunteers to paid staff; they represent all areas of the County. Tier II funded organizations have programs available to all Salt Lake County residents and visitors. In its entirety, the ZAP Tier II grant process takes approximately nine (9) months to complete from application opening to signed contracts. There are four phases in the process which includes: Beginning this year: All applications, regardless of funding category, must pass the eligibility check PRIOR to receiving access to the application.

We STRONGLY encourage submitting your eligibility check in March, as eligibility confirmation by ZAP staff will need to occur before you receive access to the application. The ZAP team has created a step-by-step process for applicants to better understand the full grant cycle from eligibility criteria, application processes and review criteria, to contracting and payment cycles.

The manual includes an extensive list of process and help language as well as the necessary links and documents in order to complete all stages of the application process.
