Zoetis Foundation Grants (Education, Well-being, Livelihoods) is sponsored by Zoetis Foundation. The Zoetis Foundation offers grants to strengthen the next generation in animal health through three priorities: Education, Well-being, and Livelihoods. This includes expanding access to education, providing mental health and well-being resources, and supporting thriving livelihoods for veterinary professionals and livestock farmers.

The Foundation is committed to strengthening the next generation in animal health through three grant-making priorities — Education, Well-being and Livelihoods — focused on expanding access to education, providing mental health and well-being resources, and supporting thriving livelihoods.

Marking its first five years of grantmaking, the Zoetis Foundation celebrates the dedicated work of its grantees as they support education, well-being and livelihood opportunities for veterinary professionals and livestock farmers.

Rising costs of education, high debt loads, and other barriers to access create challenges for students, graduates and professionals advancing their careers. The Zoetis Foundation’s grantmaking focuses on veterinary scholarships, debt relief and programs that broaden access to education and foster future leaders in animal health.

Supporting mental health and resilience Working with animals is often deeply meaningful and rewarding, with both opportunities and challenges. Factors such as compassion fatigue, increased debt and other pressures can lead to mental health challenges, including a higher risk of suicide among veterinarians compared to other professions.

The Zoetis Foundation’s grantmaking focuses on cultivating a healthy workforce of animal care professionals through mental health resources and workplace wellness programs. Advancing opportunities for thriving futures Improving animal health and livestock productivity is critical to meet the world’s growing food and nutrient needs and build resilient livelihoods for livestock farmers and their communities.

The Zoetis Foundation’s grantmaking focuses on promoting animal husbandry in developing regions through capacity building, hands-on training and increased access to innovative tools. Colleague Giving & Volunteering Zoetis has a long tradition of caring for and supporting communities. Our colleagues generously give their time, money and skills to assist nonprofit organizations.

The Zoetis Foundation supports a U.S. Matching Gifts program and encourages colleagues to volunteer in their local communities through a U.S. Dollars for Doers program. The Foundation provides grants to strengthen veterinary and livestock professions through scholarships and programs that foster future leaders in animal health.

The Foundation provides grants to cultivate a healthy workforce of animal care professionals through mental health resources and workplace wellness programs. The Foundation provides grants to promote animal husbandry in developing regions through capacity building, hands-on training and increased access to innovative tools.

Caring for those who care for animals – the Zoetis Foundation’s first five years $35 million in grant funding positively impacting thousands of veterinary professionals and livestock farmers. The Zoetis Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors that upholds the Foundation’s mission and guides its grantmaking decisions.

The Foundation is also supported by a Philanthropy Working Group, a global advisory committee, composed of Zoetis colleagues who share their expertise and insights to help shape regional grantmaking strategies. The Zoetis Foundation is not soliciting grant proposals at this time. The Zoetis Foundation is a private charitable organization and is solely funded by Zoetis, with distinct legal requirements and restrictions.

Access to Veterinary Care At Zoetis, expanding access to veterinary care for populations and communities in need is critically important. In 2024, Zoetis provided monetary and in-kind product donations to support approximately 322,000 pet owners globally.

An example of an access to care program is the Zoetis U.S. Petcare team partnering with Adopt a Pet to award 40 pet welfare organizations with product grants, providing vaccines, preventatives and antibiotics to support shelter pets and their future owners. Zoetis is committed to supporting animals in need during times of disaster.

In 2024, Zoetis contributed monetary and in-kind contributions that went towards caring for approximately 428,000 animals in need. An example of a disaster relief program is Zoetis’ contribution of in-kind products following severe flooding in Rio Grande do Sul, a state in southern Brazil.

Zoetis contributed essential medicines and partnered with local veterinarians, distributors and customers to provide critical care for affected dogs, cats and livestock.
