The work of this contract includes: - Maintaining, operating, and securing permanent collections of natural specimens - Offering robust educational programs that interpret these collections Funding is designed to be timely and stable, supporting eligible local governments and not-for-profit organizations in their ongoing operations.
This solicitation is issued by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation (NYS OPHRP), Grants Division. The ZBGA OS Grant Program is an eligibility-based initiative that has provided support to organizations maintaining collections of natural specimens and delivering public educational services.
The contract period for this solicitation will run from April 1, 2026, through March 31, 2029, with the initial funding period beginning in State Fiscal Year 2026-27. Previous awards for identical or substantially similar contracts have been made within the past five years.
