4 million in City subsidy funding to support the construction and/or substantial rehabilitation of affordable housing within the City of Wilmington. ** #### Proposed projects should advance one or more of the following objectives: * Increase the inventory of affordable rental housing. * Create affordable homeownership opportunities.
* Preserve existing affordable housing at risk of loss. * Redevelop vacant, abandoned, or underutilized properties. * Support mixed-income developments that include meaningful affordable housing components.
* Encourage equitable investment throughout Wilmington neighborhoods. * Ensure an affordability period of ten (10) years. * Leverage City funds with Low Income Housing Tax Credits, State Housing Authority financing, private debt, philanthropic investment, and other funding sources.
#### Eligible applicants include: * Nonprofit housing developers * For-profit housing developers * Community Development Corporations * Public-private partnerships * Development teams with demonstrated affordable housing experience #### Applicants must demonstrate: * Successful completion of comparable housing developments * Organizational stability * Ability to obtain financing * Experience complying with public funding requirements #### Applicants shall identify: * Number of affordable units * Target Area Median Income (AMI) levels * Proposed affordability period * Rental or ownership structure #### Preference will be given to developments serving households earning: **NOFA Deadline: August 31, 2026 at 10am** All applications must be received by the City of Wilmington, Department of Real Estate and Housing, Louis L.
