Priority research areas include: agent governance infrastructure (identity, authorization, audit, and accountability mechanisms for autonomous AI agents); novel evaluations of frontier and deployed AI models; scalable oversight and emergent-behavior analysis; multi-agent coordination risks; synthetic-media authentication and provenance; and red-teaming methodologies for high-capability systems.
The fund prioritizes proposals with strong technical execution plans, clear safety relevance, peer-reviewed methodology, ethics review, open dissemination of evaluations and infrastructure, and equitable benefits across user communities.
