Volunteer Opportunity: Be an AmeriCorps State Grant Reviewer Volunteer Tennessee is currently seeking service-minded individuals to serve as AmeriCorps Formula Grant Application Review Team members. Independent peer reviewers will read and score applications for the 2026-2027 program year. Reviewers will be required to participate in a short webinar training (recorded) and review the “Review Team Training Guide”.

Service projects typically last six to eight weeks and address critical needs related to natural and other disasters, infrastructure improvement, environmental stewardship and conservation, energy conservation, and urban and rural development.
AmeriCorps members mentor students, construct and rehabilitate low-income housing, respond to natural disasters, clean up streams, help communities develop emergency plans, and address countless other local needs. Sponsoring organizations request the assistance of AmeriCorps NCCC teams by submitting a concept form to the regional campus that covers that organization’s state.
The campuses provide assistance in completing the application, developing a work plan, and preparing the project sponsor for the arrival of the AmeriCorps NCCC team.
