2026 AMERICORPS FUNDING PROCESS Volunteer Tennessee will accept applications from agencies proposing new and continuation AmeriCorps programs for the 2026-27 program year.
Non-profit organizations and government agencies in Tennessee are eligible to apply for funds to operate local AmeriCorps programs that meet locally identified needs in the areas of disaster services, economic opportunity, education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, and veterans and military families. Volunteer Opportunity: Be an AmeriCorps State Grant Reviewer Volunteer Tennessee is currently seeking service-minded individuals to serve as AmeriCorps Formula Grant Application Review Team members. Independent peer reviewers will read and score applications for the 2026-2027 program year. Reviewers will be required to participate in a short webinar training (recorded) and review the “Review Team Training Guide”.
If you are interested in being a peer reviewer, please fill out the Grant Review Team Form by February 13, 2026. Grant reviewers will have one week to review between 2-4 applications. AmeriCorps National Direct Consultation Form: The Edward M.
Kennedy Serve America Act requires that any applicant proposing a multi-state AmeriCorps program (National Direct) consult with the State Service Commissions in the states where they intend to operate an AmeriCorps program. America's State Service Commissions has created a single form to initiate and streamline consultation between multi-state applicants and state service commissions.
You can complete the National Direct Consultation Form here. AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) Concept Form Each year, AmeriCorps NCCC engages teams of members in community projects across the United States.
Service projects typically last six to eight weeks and address critical needs related to natural and other disasters, infrastructure improvement, environmental stewardship and conservation, energy conservation, and urban and rural development.
AmeriCorps members mentor students, construct and rehabilitate low-income housing, respond to natural disasters, clean up streams, help communities develop emergency plans, and address countless other local needs. Sponsoring organizations request the assistance of AmeriCorps NCCC teams by submitting a concept form to the regional campus that covers that organization’s state.
The campuses provide assistance in completing the application, developing a work plan, and preparing the project sponsor for the arrival of the AmeriCorps NCCC team.
