The New Music USA Project Grants program is funded in part by public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, and with support from The Aaron Copland Fund for Music, Howard Gilman Foundation, the Geraldine R.

In response to the ongoing challenges of COVID-19, we are temporarily changing our annual grants program. In 2020 and 2021, we will be offering targeted support directly to individual music creators and focusing on supporting non-profit organizations which are essential to the new music ecosystem through their regular work in reaching audiences and supporting artist development.
Launched in October 2013, New Music USA’s project grants program has now distributed $3,396,398 in support of 672 projects. To find out more about our grants and programs over the past year, browse through our Impact Report . Information about the next rounds of grants for individual artists and organizations will be released in the fall of 2021.
