Grants • The Arts Center Empowering Artists. Enriching Communities. The Arts Center of the Capital Region is honored to provide regranting resources to local artists and organizations throughout the Capital Region.
In partnership with New York State, the New York State Council for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts, and with the steadfast support of our elected officials, our regrant program fuels creativity, strengthens communities, and expands access to the arts. By investing in artists and cultural organizations, we help bring bold, inspiring projects to life, enriching our region with diverse artistic voices and experiences.
We are grateful for the continued advocacy and commitment to arts funding, which ensures that creativity and culture remain a vital part of the Capital Region’s identity and growth. NYSCA Statewide Community Regrants (SCR) Administered by The Arts Center of the Capital Region (ACCR) The Statewide Community Regrants (SCR) Program provides funding for arts and cultural projects that strengthen communities across New York State.
ACCR is the SCR regrant site for Albany, Rensselaer, and Schenectady Counties. Grants are awarded through a competitive, peer-reviewed process, and technical assistance is available to help applicants apply.
2025 Arts Thrive and Grow Grant Program This year, we awarded $175,000 in funding through 60 grants—28 directly to individual artists and 22 to community arts organizations,supporting projects that reflect the strength, resilience, and innovation of the Capital Region’s cultural landscape.
2023 & 2024 Arts Thrive and Grow Grant Program A total of 127 grants supported artist-led projects, community partnerships with artists, and direct artist support, strengthening the region’s creative landscape.
The Arts Center of the Capital Region is proud to share the impact of the Art Connects Artist Grant Program, which awarded $70,000 to 17 talented artists across Albany, Columbia, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady Counties. Art Connects Grants Reporting Coming Soon Arts Connects is a grant program for artists living in Albany, Columbia, Green, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady Counties! From Group Critiques to Grant Opportunities, we support local artists. Grants are available to non-profits, art-based organizations, and artists residing in Albany, Rensselaer, and Schenectady counties.
The Arts Center of The Capital Region empowers individual artists to create new works, non-profits to enrich their communities with art, and smaller art-based organizations to build capacity.

• ABOUT THE "ARTS THRIVE & GROW" PROGRAM “Arts Thrive & Grow” is a dynamic program that supports artists, non-profits, and art-based organizations in the capital region. By investing in these creative endeavors, we not only foster artistic innovation but also drive economic development, ensuring that the arts continue to flourish, thrive, and contribute to the sustainable growth of our creative economy in the capital region.
All grants will be awarded by using a panel of your peers in an objective scoring process. Arts Thrive and Grow has been funded by New York State, Kathy Hochul, Governor. We thank Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart Cousins for her extraordinary commitment and leadership, and our elected officials who represent our grantmaking region: Senators Jake Ashby and Neil D.
