E4C Fellows engage in a 5-month workforce development program, exploring solutions to sustainable development goals through the learning program, networking with peers and completing Impact Projects with industry partners. The program serves to activate and empower early-career engineers and technical professionals worldwide to solve local and global challenges.
The E4C Fellowship Learning Program equips Fellows with global, local, and individual knowledge, empowering them to make a meaningful impact in the field of sustainable development. Our Impact Projects help Fellows build technical capacity while advance the sustainability initiatives of industry partners. Projects fall into one of three categories: Design for Good, Impact Research, and Advancing Workflows.
To date, we have completed over 185 projects in partnership with academia, non-profits, multilaterals, the private sector, and government agencies. Networking is a vital aspect of the Fellowship experience.
Fellows have the chance to connect with other passionate changemakers through one-on-one meetings, small group calls, and other targeted opportunities forming a community of practice that fosters lasting relationships and provides the mentorship needed for success in the field.
E4C Fellows work remotely with diverse, interdisciplinary, multi-sector teams and develop their professional and technical skills by investigating, optimizing, and designing solutions to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Their work directly advances partners sustainability initiatives through the Impact Projects they support, which are published on ASME’s global digital platform, Engineering for Change.
