Back to Business is sponsored by City of Seattle. This program offers grants to reimburse small business owners for the cost of repairing property damage from crime or purchasing security measures to prevent future damage.

It offers help in three areas: Storefront Repair Fund . Grants to help businesses reimburse the costs for fixing damages from vandalism or other property damage. Storefront Security Fund .

A grant to reimburse business owners to cover the cost of improving security. Neighborhood Business District Investments. Funding to improve public safety and the look of neighborhood business areas.

This program builds on the success of the Storefront Repair Fund, which provided grants to small businesses to repair property damage between 2022 and 2024. Apply for up to three $5,000 grants to reimburse costs to repair your storefront. Apply for a $10,000 grant to reimburse costs to secure your storefront.

Neighborhood Business District Investments In addition to grants for individual businesses, we are working with Business Improvement Areas and neighborhood organizations to fund projects that improve public safety and make neighborhoods more welcoming across Seattle. Our goal is to support community-led solutions that address local challenges. The Back to Business Program is part of the City of Seattle’s economic recovery plan.

It was created with input from the Small Business Policy Group convened by our office and the Mayor’s Office to help businesses recover, rebuild, and continue serving their communities.
