_ BGE Energizing Small Business Grants Empowering Local Businesses for a Brighter Future At Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE), we believe that small businesses are the backbone of our local economy. The Energizing Small Business Grant program is designed to support and empower small businesses in Maryland, helping them to grow, innovate, and make a positive impact in our communities.
The BGE Energizing Small Business grant program, presented in partnership with Hello Alice and the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), offers $20K grants to help central Maryland businesses succeed and thrive. Since 2021, BGE has provided 741 businesses with grants, investing a total of $14. 86 million into the small business community.
To be eligible for the Energizing Small Business Grant, applicants must meet the following criteria: * Be a for-profit business that has been operating for at least one (1) year at the start of the application. * Be an existing BGE electric and/or gas customer in good standing with BGE. * Be in good standing (or on the way to) with the State of Maryland.
* Have a maximum of twenty-five (25) full-time employees. * Have annual gross revenues in 2024 under $7 million USD. * Demonstrate a need for funding to support business and serve customers.
Applications for the grant are completed through the Hello Alice website through the link below. If you applied and were not selected for a previous round of the program, you are welcome to submit a new application. We will evaluate your application based on any new information and judge it against a new pool of applicants!
