BlueAngel Community Health Grants | Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island BlueAngel Community Health Grants For more than 25 years, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island has invested in programs that help Rhode Islanders live healthier lives. Through the BlueAngel Community Health Grant program, we support nonprofit organizations addressing the social drivers that shape health and well-being in communities across the state.
Guided by insights from the RI Life Index partnership with the Brown University School of Public Health, the program invests in four priority areas that help advance health and well-being across Rhode Island.
Healthy housing – safe and affordable homes Healthy food – access to nutritious food Healthy moms – maternal health and well-being Healthy minds – youth mental health and wellness The 2027 BlueAngel Community Health Grant program will provide multi-year funding to support innovative, community-based solutions that advance health and well-being for Rhode Islanders.
Two years of funding (January 2027–December 2028) Additional opportunities for organizational support and capacity-building resources Organizations interested in applying should review BCBSRI's Charitable Contributions Policy to confirm eligibility . Applications open August 3, 2026 and are due by September 4, 2026 , at 5 p. m.
Selected applicants will be invited to participate in a virtual site visit as part of the review process. Funding awards will begin January 1, 2027. Questions?

NCI Continuing Umbrella of Research Experiences (CURE) Academic Career Excellence (ACE) Award (K32) is a grant from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) that funds early postdoctoral fellows from diverse backgrounds, including underrepresented groups, to pursue research training in cancer-related fields. The K32 award supports fellows within 12 months prior to transitioning into, or within the first two years of, a postdoctoral position. The program, operated through NCI's Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities (CRCHD), aims to enhance the pool of qualified diverse cancer researchers. Beginning with the June 12, 2025 due date, the CURE ACE Award is available in both Independent Clinical Trial Required and Independent Clinical Trial Not Allowed versions.
