Planning Support Program Awards Resilience Planning Guide Upcoming Trainings & Events * A Guide to Resilience Planning * Upcoming Trainings & Events ### NYSDOS Brownfield Opportunity Area Program The NYS Department of State (NYSDOS) is soliciting applications from eligible municipalities, community-based not-for-profit organizations, and NYC Community Boards for Brownfield Opportunity Area Program funding.
The Brownfield Opportunity Area (BOA) Program provides communities grant funding and technical assistance to develop area-wide, community-based plans to effectively redevelop brownfields and other vacant and abandoned sites, transforming them into catalytic properties that facilitate community investment and improvement. Applications are accepted annually through the Consolidated Funding Application (CFA).

Local Waterfront Revitalization Program is sponsored by New York State Department of State (NYSDOS). Grants for local governments located along New York's coasts or designated inland waterways, to prepare or implement strategies for community and waterfront revitalization. Eligible projects include preparing or updating a Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP), watershed management plans, and implementing a completed LWRP component. Offers a reduced match requirement for environmental justice communities.
