The Community Sports Grant (CSG) provides grants for non-profit community and school groups, such as clubs and booster organizations, to update sports facilities or purchase equipment to enhance a sports program.
Y2026-27 CSG APPLICATION PERIOD IS SCHEDULED TO OPEN FROM AUGUST 31, 2026 – OCTOBER 1, 2026, AT 5:00 PM Westlake High School Baseball field netting replacement, Newbury Park High School resurfacing of tennis courts, Thousand Oaks High School upgrade of indoor golf equipment, upgrade at Conejo Creek South soccer fields, and the Conejo Equestrian Park new ring and pen. The application period is currently closed.
When the application period opens, the application will be available on this page. The signed grant application and all applicable required documents must be submitted before 5:00 PM on the deadline. Applications must be submitted by email only to togrants@toaks.
gov . To request a Word document application, please send us an email. A confirmation e-mail verifying receipt will be sent during business hours to all applicants.
If the Applicant DOES NOT receive a confirmation receipt, the Applicant should assume the City did not receive the application. NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. CVUSD School Projects/ School Booster Club Projects, please see Special Note in the right-hand corner of this webpage.
Minimum is $2,000 and Maximum is $10,000. This grant requires 100% matching funds. Personal equipment, such as uniforms, is not covered under the CSG funding.
Anticipated date applicants will be notified of the award decision: Mid-December 2026. All CSG programs/projects/events must take place and be completed between January 2027- December 2027. All grant-related expenditures must take place within the grant agreement period.
After project/program/event completion (or after funds have been spent), grantees have 30 days to submit a performance report. The City Council appointed the Community Funding Review Committee (CFRC) to evaluate all eligible applications and present their funding recommendation to the City Council , who provides the final approval.
