Year-over-year certain Pillar Awards may not always be open for funding, are subject to change, and in some cases, Honda may extend invitation-only opportunities to select community partners.

Honda is committed to the collective strength of our communities.
In doing so, we strive to be a company that society wants to exist. Application window: The Community Event Sponsorship application is open year‑round; however, it is subject to temporary closure for scheduled maintenance or due to business conditions. Please refer to the website for the most up‑to‑date status.
Decision Notification & Timing: Funding decisions are made on a rolling basis. To ensure adequate review time, applications must be submitted at least 8 weeks before the event date . Requests submitted fewer than 8 weeks before the event date are not guaranteed a response.
Supported Events: Honda generally supports community festivals, parades and similar events that celebrate the communities where we live and work. Honda is not accepting applications for new seated event requests (e.g., galas and luncheons). Seated events previously supported by Honda may continue to be considered but are not guaranteed.
Geographic Scope: Events must take place in one of Honda’s designated counties. Please review the Eligible County List. Request Range: Up to $25,000 Additional Information: Organizations may submit applications for multiple events throughout the year; however, to ensure proper evaluation, each application must correspond to a single event.

toString()"> To be considered, organizations must meet the following requirements: Organizations must be located in the United States Organizations must meet one of the two classifications: Hold nonprofit tax-exempt status under the Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) or utilize a tax-exempt, non-profit fiscal sponsor For Community Event Sponsorships, applications are also accepted from organizations with 501(c)(4) or 501(c)(6) status.
Schools and school districts as listed by the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) Organizations Not Eligible The following types of organizations are not eligible for funding: Organizations ineligible for contributions under any state or federal law.
Organizations with a pending 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity status Political parties, candidates, or campaigns Private clubs, fraternities, or sororities Organizations that represent a conflict of interest with Honda Organizations located outside the U.S. or those whose funds are used outside the U.S. Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, ancestry, age, religion, sex, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, veteran or military status, marital status, family status, genetic information, or any other status protected by law The following types of requests will not be considered: Requests for auction or raffle items Requests to support athletic teams Requests from individuals Request to support political parties, candidates, or campaigns Requests submitted outside of the online system Request for programs or events that are organized or implemented for religious purposes Requests for programmatic support can be local, regional or national in scope, but must primarily benefit communities where Honda associates live and work.
