NYSIF Extreme Heat PPE Premium Credit Program Beat the heat. Protect your workforce. NYSIF is offering a one-time credit to workers’ compensation policyholders for the purchase of essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extreme heat.
Receive 10% credit of annual premium on the purchase of heat-related PPE, with a maximum reimbursement of $1,000.
This credit is tailored to provide qualified businesses that fall within firefighting, roofing, electrical wiring, insulation work, plumbing, wallboard installation, restaurants, manufacturing, warehousing, carpentry, landscaping, and farming sector industries , where workers face elevated risks from exposure to extreme temperatures.
To qualify for NYSIF's Extreme Heat Credit, you must: Have an online account with NYSIF Premium of $10,000 or less, or 10 or fewer employees Fall within firefighting, roofing, electrical wiring, insulation work, plumbing, wallboard installation, restaurants, manufacturing, warehousing, carpentry, landscaping, and farming sector industries Purchased PPE starting May 15, 2025, or later Receive up to 10% credit of annual premium on the purchase of heat-related PPE, with a maximum reimbursement of $1,000 Offset expenses for the purchase of heat protective-gear and implementing safety solutions that reduce the risk of heat-related illness and illness
