Fáilte Ireland’s Access for Success - small grant scheme - Irish Museums Association Fáilte Ireland’s Access for Success – small grant scheme Improving accessibility is one of the most practical ways cultural organisations can broaden participation, strengthen public value and welcome more diverse audiences. Beyond compliance, accessibility enhances the overall visitor experience and enables museums to better serve their communities.
Fáilte Ireland’s Access for Success initiative offers structured support to help organisations develop more inclusive and accessible visitor experiences. Through a combination of professional guidance and practical tools, the programme supports organisations to assess their current provision and plan achievable improvements.
Participating organisations will: undertake an access audit of their visitor-facing spaces take part in a blended learning programme (expert-led and self-paced) develop an Access Welcome Guide to support visitors in planning their visit The initiative aims to help organisations respond more effectively to the needs of visitors who may encounter barriers to participation, while strengthening confidence in welcoming wider audiences.
The initiative is open to organisations operating in Ireland that provide a physical visitor experience. A visitor-facing facility suitable for access auditing (e.g. museum, attraction, venue or accommodation) A minimum of 10 staff members A designated staff lead for the programme Visitor attractions and activity providers: minimum 25,000 annual visitors Fáilte Ireland co-funds 70% of programme costs.
Visitor attractions/activity providers: €600 incl. VAT Fees are payable in advance of the start date. The support is provided under the De Minimis State Aid Regulation and eligibility is subject to compliance requirements.
