The Oregon Department of Justice contracted Mediation Case Manager » to implement and coordinate the program. What does the program do? A trained and neutral mediator conducts a face-to-face meeting (referred to as a dispute resolution conference) between a homeowner and their lender with the goal of avoiding home foreclosure.
Information for Homeowners If you received a letter clearly marked “Notice of a Resolution Conference” from Mediation Case Manager be sure to respond by the deadline on that notice, pay the fee and meet with a housing counselor. Housing counseling services are free and can be found at oregon. gov/ohcs/homeownership/pages/housing-counseling.

The Oregon Homeowner Assistance Fund » helps homeowners who have experienced financial hardship avoid mortgage foreclosures, delinquencies, defaults and displacements. Information for Beneficiaries, Lenders and Servicers Exemption requests on or after June 1, 2021. The requirements of ORS 86.
726 do not apply to a beneficiary who submits to the Attorney General a sworn affidavit that states that during the preceding calendar year the beneficiary did not commence more than 30 actions to foreclose a residential trust deed by advertisement and sale under ORS 86. 735 or by suit under ORS 88. 010.
For calendar years 2021 and 2022 the exemption shall be based on the number of foreclosure actions a beneficiary commenced in calendar year 2019. (Note that as of June 1, 2021 exemption requests made pursuant to Senate Bill 558 (Oregon Laws 2013, chapter 304) are without effect for purposes of seeking an exemption from the requirements of ORS 86. 726.)
