Willie Mae Rock Camp offers music education, centering girls and gender-expansive young people who are Black, Indigenous, and people of color. National & International Environment Program Starting in 2026, nonprofits may apply to our national environment program through a one-step RFP process. Proposals can be submitted through the Grantseeker Portal during an approximately eight-week window each winter (late February).
Our National and International Environment Program funds projects that mitigate climate change, make communities more resilient to climate change, protect public health from the hazards of toxic chemicals and pollutants, and preserve biological diversity. With the exception of those focused on New York State, all national projects must benefit more than one U.S. state or territory to be considered.
Van Lier Fellowship Program The Edward and Sally Van Lier Fellowship Program makes grants to arts organizations to support historically underrepresented artists at two important stages of their artistic development: pre-professional , which describes the training and artistic growth of young people ages 6 to 18, prior to attending college or conservatory programs; and young professional , during which adults ages 18 to 30 seek to establish a career in the arts.

A forum at Weeksville Heritage Center helps arts nonprofits connect with the funding community. The Heisman Trophy Trust established the Heisman Trophy Youth Development Fund in The New York Community Trust. The fund supports charitable organizations that integrate athletics, academics, and youth development activities to help young people up to age 18 develop social, emotional, ethical, cognitive, and physical skills.
