Gifted Student Grant Program (Act 2025-270)

Arts Education Grant Program (AAEI) is sponsored by Alabama State Department of Education. This program offers grants to schools and community organizations to develop, strengthen, and expand arts education programs in dance, media arts, music, theatre, and visual arts. Projects should address local needs, increase student participation, and promote student growth through authentic artistic experiences.

The application itself is unusually short - seven bullet-pointed sections with character limits covering title, one-sentence summary, research question, methodology, team background, budget and intended outputs - so the effort-to-expected-value ratio is among the best available in biomedical AI funding.

NC TAG Gifted Education Resources Grant is a $100 mini-grant program from the North Carolina Association for the Gifted (NC TAG) designed to support educators and service providers who work with gifted students across North Carolina. The grant helps recipients purchase materials, supplies, or resources that directly enhance learning opportunities for gifted learners. The program operates alongside the NCAGT Annual Conference, where awards and scholarships are recognized each spring. The application deadline is December 30, 2026. Open to educators and service providers supporting gifted students in North Carolina, with priority given to NC TAG members. NC TAG also recognizes outstanding contributors through annual awards and student scholarship programs presented at the NCAGT Annual Conference.

Cisco Research runs a rolling university research funding program that supports academic work across AI/ML, computer vision, natural language processing, cybersecurity, quantum information processing, networking and distributed systems. Several of the currently open calls target generative AI directly: Distributed Systems Security for Generative AI, Embodied AI, Enhancing Factuality and Reasoning in Generative AI Models, and LLM-Based Autonomous Systems. Awards are typically $50,000 to $100,000 and are made as unrestricted research gifts or sponsored research agreements, which means low administrative overhead and no intellectual property claim in the gift structure. Cisco Research emphasizes open publication and encourages open-source release of resulting artifacts, and successful teams are frequently renewed with follow-on and multi-year funding. Because submissions are accepted on a rolling basis through 31 December 2026 rather than at a single hard deadline, this is an unusually accessible source of flexible funding for faculty who want to start a generative AI research thread without waiting for a federal cycle. Proposals are submitted through the Cisco Research funding portal, and the program is open to faculty at universities worldwide, not only in the United States.
