com May 28, 2026 Logo and photograph via Global Game Jam Global Game Jam has partnered with Endless Foundation to launch a new micro-grant initiative called 'Small Projects, Big Impact.' The pilot program will distribute micro-grants worth up to $2,500 to indie studios in a bid to support emerging talent.
It will connect successful applicants with aspiring game professionals (aged 18 and over) by facilitating short-form, paid, micro-projects across a range of disciplines. The aim is twofold: help indie studios accelerate development by offering micro-project support while providing emerging developers with invaluable work experience.
"The pilot will bring together indie game studios and members of the Global Game Jam community through small, focused tasks that can be completed in under 48 hours. Participants will gain real-world experience, portfolio material, and paid opportunities, while studios will receive original creative assets and valuable QA support," reads an explainer on the Global Game Jam website .

The initiative is expected to support at least 25 indie studios and engage more than 500 participants globally.

Jerome Early-Career Project Grants is a grant from Forecast Public Art, funded by the Jerome Foundation, that funds the creation of new public art projects by early-career artists based in Minnesota.
