The Harper Foundation partners with select nonprofit organizations in Southwest Florida that provide relief for the poor, distressed, and underprivileged, or minister to others in need.

Crisis Prevention & Empowerment receives $25,000 grant from Harper Foundation Crisis Prevention & Empowerment receives $25,000 grant from Harper Foundation Crisis Prevention & Empowerment (CPE), a nonprofit dedicated to providing free and affordable mental health support throughout Southwest Florida, has received a $25,000 grant from the Daniel R. and Anne M. Harper Foundation.

Funds from the Harper Foundation will benefit CPE’s Hope & Healing: Community Access Fund, a targeted behavioral health initiative to address the urgent mental health needs of at-risk individuals and families in Southwest Florida. The program provides direct client assistance, including outpatient therapy, psychiatric medications, transportation and essential resources to mitigate barriers to health.

More than 125 individuals in Lee and Collier counties will be supported by the grant, stabilizing lives and strengthening the region’s behavioral health infrastructure. “We’re incredibly grateful for the generosity and compassion of the Harper Foundation,” said Heather Cross, CEO of Crisis Prevention & Empowerment.

“With this support, we’ll be able to further pursue our mission and strategy – to meet people where they are, respond holistically and empower long-term mental wellness throughout Southwest Florida. ” Since its inception in 2000, the Harper Foundation has awarded $3. 8 million in grants to a variety of nonprofit organizations in Southwest Florida.

Through charitable giving, the Harper Foundation seeks to improve the lives of people in Southwest Florida for generations to come. The foundation selects nonprofits annually, and each recipient is carefully selected to ensure the organization’s mission aligns with the Foundation’s purposes.

CPE provides a safe and reliable place to turn for anyone in need of mental health support, including children, teens, adults, seniors, veterans and families. Since 2017, CPE has been committed to serving the Southwest Florida community with accessible low- or no-cost mental health services and has served thousands of individuals in the region.

CPE offers outpatient counseling and round-the-clock crisis intervention, including wrap-around services, to individuals across Charlotte, Lee, Collier, Hendry and Glades counties, with no limitations on age, background or ability to pay. Additionally, CPE works in coordination with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice to provide mental health and substance abuse support for adolescents and teens in Southwest Florida.
