Learn about this Fort Myers family’s long tradition of caring for their community. Through a careful selection process, grants are awarded to organizations with missions that are consistent with those of the Foundation. Since its inception in 2000, the Foundation has awarded millions of dollars in grants.
Building a Future Together The mission of the Daniel R. and Anne M. Harper Foundation is to be faithful stewards of God’s blessings and generously support scientific, religious, educational and other types of nonprofits that work to serve the local Southwest Florida community.
The Foundation continues the couple’s legacy of compassion and generosity, with areas of interest that include, but are not limited to: Economically Disadvantaged Communities Making an Impact in Southwest Florida Although the Harper Foundation’s beneficiary list is long, each grant recipient is carefully selected to ensure the organization’s mission is consistent with the Foundation’s purposes.

NCI Continuing Umbrella of Research Experiences (CURE) Academic Career Excellence (ACE) Award (K32) is a grant from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) that funds early postdoctoral fellows from diverse backgrounds, including underrepresented groups, to pursue research training in cancer-related fields. The K32 award supports fellows within 12 months prior to transitioning into, or within the first two years of, a postdoctoral position. The program, operated through NCI's Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities (CRCHD), aims to enhance the pool of qualified diverse cancer researchers. Beginning with the June 12, 2025 due date, the CURE ACE Award is available in both Independent Clinical Trial Required and Independent Clinical Trial Not Allowed versions.
