The reopening date is not yet known; however, work continues.

M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Department to Host Historic Property Grant Program Workshops for Fiscal Year 2027 The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Department to Host Historic Property Grant Program Workshops for Fiscal Year 2027 LARGO, Md.
– The Prince George’s County Planning Department of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) will host virtual workshops on the Prince George’s County Historic Property Grant Program for community members to learn about the program and the Fiscal Year 2027 application process.
The Historic Property Grant Program is designed to preserve, protect and enhance historic properties, as well as promote the study of historic properties. Prospective applicants are encouraged to register for one of four virtual grant workshops to learn about the program guidelines, eligibility, and project requirements: Tuesday, July 7, 2026 – 2:30 p. m.
– 4:00 p. m. Saturday, July 18, 2026 – 9:30 a.
m. – 11:00 a. m.
Tuesday, July 21, 2026 – 9:30 a. m. – 11:00 a.
m. Wednesday, July 22, 2026 – 6:00 p. m.
– 7:30 p. m. M-NCPPC planning staff will guide workshop attendees through the application process and instructions for the Historic Property Grant Program, explain the requirements for the preservation easement, and give examples of successful projects.
Applications are due by Friday, August 28, 2026. Grants will be awarded for the rehabilitation, restoration, preservation, or acquisition of historic property. The grant program is administered by the M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Department on behalf of the Prince George’s County Planning Board.
All workshops are free and open to the public, but reservations are required. To register online , visit https://pgplan. org/historicgrantworkshop .
Registered participants will receive instructions on how to attend the virtual workshop via email. Registration should be completed at least one business day before the start time of the workshop of your choice to ensure that you will have access.
