The GPD Program awards grants to community-based organizations to offer transitional supportive housing, helping vulnerable Veterans transition into permanent housing. These grants are designed to assist Veterans at various stages on their path to stable housing. Community organizations receiving GPD grants provide focused transitional housing services through a range of housing models tailored to the unique needs of Veterans.
The GPD program plays an essential role in the continuum of homeless services by offering supportive services to Veterans who might otherwise be unsheltered. As a result, Veterans achieve residential stability, enhance their skill levels and income, and gain greater self-determination. Additionally, the GPD Program provides Case Management grants to support permanent housing retention for Veterans who were previously homeless.
Applications are accepted only in response to a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) published on Grants. gov. Funding will be awarded to programs that are determined to be the most qualified.

The SCI Youth Grant Pitch Contest is a competitive program from Social Capital Inc. that funds youth-led community improvement projects in Greater Boston. Teams of high school students in grades 9 through 12 residing in Essex, Middlesex, Norfolk, or Suffolk counties develop project ideas through coaching from local professionals, then pitch their proposals to a live panel of judges. Winning teams receive $1,000 to $2,000 in grant funding to execute their community-strengthening visions.
