org/implementation-plans-2/ Sexual Assault Kit Initiatives (SAKI) 2019 Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI) - Grant Award $2,000,000 - Project Period: 10/01/2019 through 09/30/2024. The goal of the 2019 SAKI grant is to support the Clark County District Attorney's Office and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD)with addressing cold cases related to sexually motivated crimes.

This includes reviewing and investigating all cold cases presented by law enforcement for prosecution, provide support for victims to participate in proceeding with their case if desired, and prosecuting cases.

Improving Criminal Justice Response (ICJR) Improving Criminal Justice Response (ICJR) - Grant Award $500,000 - Project Period: 10/01/2023 through 09/30/2026 The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) in collaboration with its project partners will use this continuation award to continue to improve the jurisdiction's criminal justice system response to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.

This grant funds a OAG Victim Witness Advocate that is heading the Coordinated Community Response (CCR) in Lyon and Churchill Counties. Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use Program (COSSUP) Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use Program (COSSUP) - Grant Award $5,751,772.

00 - Project Period: 10/01/2021 through 09/30/2025 The main purpose of the project is to address substance misuse in Nevada through either the enhancement of existing or the implementation of drug deflection/diversion programs of Mobile Outreach Safety Teams (MOST) or Forensic Assessment Services Triage Teams (FASTT), provision of naloxone, and drug take back days to address drug/mental health crisis situations.

The allowable usage categories will focus on three categories; 1) law enforcement and other first responder diversion programs, 2) naloxone for law enforcement and other first responders, and 3) identifiable and accessible take-back programs for unused controlled substances found in the home and used by hospitals and long-term care facilities.

The project includes partnerships between NOAG, Nevada Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Northern Regional Behavioral Health Coordinator (RBHC), Community Coalitions, and seven Nevada counties that include, Churchill County, Douglas County, Lincoln County, Lyon County, Nye County, and Storey County.

Jabara-Heyer NO HATE Act State-Run Hate Crime Reporting Hotlines - Grant Award $1,164,424 - Project Period: 10/01/2023 through 09/30/2026 This grant provides the opportunity for the Nevada Office of the Attorney General (OAG) to implement and manage a Hate Crimes Hotline.

This hotline is available for anyone to report a possible hate crime or hate incident, receive referrals for victim services, and/or receive guidance on how to proceed with reporting to local law enforcement if they desire. Hate Crime Reporting Form High Risk Protective Order (HRPO) Education, Training, and Marketing Program High Risk Protective Order (HRPO) Education, Training, and Marketing Program - Grant Award $400,000 - Project Period: 10/20/2022 through 06/30/2025 The Nevada Office of the Attorney General was awarded $400,000 in ARPA funds to educate law enforcement, judicial staff, and the community on the requirements and use of the High Risk Protective Orders (also known as the Red Flag Law).
