Learn more News and Voices for Human Rights National Union of Peoples’ Lawyers to Receive 2026 Human Rights Award The 43rd annual Human Rights Award will honor the National Union of Peoples’ Lawyers (NUPL) , the Philippines’ largest voluntary association of human rights lawyers dedicated to defending civil liberties and providing pro bono legal services to victims of politically motivated abuses.
The public ceremony, hosted by Kennedy Human Rights President Kerry Kennedy, will take place on June 4 in Washington, D. C. We advocate for human rights issues and pursue strategic litigation to hold governments accountable at home and around the world.
We foster a social good approach to business, celebrate agents of change, and to ensure change that lasts, we educate millions of students about human rights, training the next generation of leaders. Working alongside grassroots partners, our teams of lawyers confront systemic problems through litigation and advocacy aimed at structural change.
We work within our network, which includes some of the world’s most powerful fiduciaries, to push investors and corporations to integrate dignity and equity into their business approach, across people, practices, portfolios, and community impacts. We envision a world where human rights education is ingrained into the fabric of all educators’ pedagogy and young people are empowered to become human rights defenders. Please give now.
