Family Support Services | Jefferson County, CO Stage 1 Fire Restrictions for Unincorporated Jefferson County Family Support Services Program Family Support Services Program (FSSP) provides support for families who have children with intellectual and developmental disabilities or delays with costs that are beyond those normally experienced by other families.
The primary purpose of the FSSP is to support children with intellectual and developmental disabilities or delays remaining within their family setting and prevent out-of-home placements. FSSP has recently changed from Developmental Disabilities Resource Center (DDRC) to Jefferson County Human Services Case Management Agency (CMA). Jefferson County CMA serves Jefferson and Clear Creek Counties only.
Any individual with an Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) or Developmental Delay living with their family is eligible for the FSSP.
Examples of services that may be provided through the program: Environmental Engineering Parent and Sibling Support If you have accessed FSSP in the past through Jefferson County CMA and have not submitted a FSSP Most in Need (MIN) Assessment since July 1, 2025, please proceed in completing the FSSP MIN Assessment and an Intake Navigator will follow up with you once received.
(Note: The new MIN Assessment will be available online when the new fiscal year begins after 7/1/26). If you have not accessed FSSP through Jefferson County CMA in the past, please complete the Jeffco CMA Long Term Services and Supports Referral Form and an Intake Navigator will follow up with you regarding next steps. Your Intake Navigator can answer questions and help you fill out the forms.
If you would like the forms mailed to you, please contact your Intake Navigator or Caitlyn Gashi at 720-871-7205. Developmental Disabilities Resource Center has programs available. Self Determination Initiative provides funding to individuals with an IDD/DD to help support developing a new skill, take initiative towards a new goal, and/or move towards a dream of theirs that will promote increased independence and self-determination.
Jefferson County Unmet Needs Funding provides funding for a variety of services and supports which are related to a person’s developmental disability and are above and beyond typical child rearing or daily living expenses. Provider Support Funding Program permits providers access to funding to address barriers to unmet needs and enhance, expand and/or innovate services.
