Mary Chilton DAR Foundation Mary Chilton DAR Foundation Grant Programs & Applications Mary Chilton DAR Foundation Sioux Falls, SD 57109-0716 The Mary Chilton DAR Foundation currently awards three types of grants. Schoolroom Grant awards are in the amount of $500 and are available to teachers of grades 3, 4, and 5 in public school districts in South Dakota having fewer than 300 students in grades K-12.

Eligible applicants include artists, nonprofits, schools, and organizations pursuing arts, humanities, and science projects. Applications are submitted directly to local councils and are typically due by October 16. Grants from most LCCs are reimbursement-based. Massachusetts Cultural Council funds the LCCs centrally, which then regrant to community projects.
