Safe & Stable Housing Fund Betty Scalice Foundation Music Grants Safe & Stable Housing Fund Grants The Safe & Stable Housing Fund has been established by residents raising funds to ensure youth up to age 26 and seniors in North County San Diego remain safe, stable and in homes of their own.
Specifically, programs funded provide just-in-time “flex funding” to bridge a short-term gap in resources to our neighbors to avoid eviction or homelessness or provide funds to keep them out of crisis while focusing on long-term solutions (i.e., utilities, rent, medical bills, car repair, etc.). through homelessness prevention and/or diversion efforts.
Accepted Applications: March 2026 Application Deadline Closed: April 6, 2026 at 5pm Awards Announced: May 2026 2026-2027 Senior Grant Award Recipients Community Resource Center Provide emergency housing assistance, counseling and trauma-informed support for seniors facing housing instability, helping older adults remain safely housed and avoid eviction.
Family Health Centers of San Diego Provide housing stabilization assistance, healthcare coordination and social work support for North County seniors experiencing housing crises related to medical conditions, caregiving responsibilities and other health challenges.
Interfaith Community Services Provide flexible financial assistance, case management and connections to long-term housing resources, helping North County seniors achieve lasting housing stability. Parkinson’s Association of San Diego Help seniors living with Parkinson’s disease remain housed by offsetting caregiving costs and other financial pressures associated with disease progression.
The Brother Benno Foundation Provide emergency rental and utility assistance for vulnerable seniors facing housing emergencies, helping older adults remain housed during times of crisis. The Center for Senior Wellbeing Provide housing advocacy, benefits navigation and care coordination services for older adults, helping seniors access critical resources and maintain housing stability.
Support an innovative shared housing program that helps seniors remain housed when unexpected financial setbacks threaten their ability to afford housing. Identify seniors at risk of housing loss and provide rapid assistance and supportive services, helping older adults maintain housing stability and access to care.
2025-2026 Senior Grant Award Recipients Community Resource Center Flex Funds for Senior Homelessness Prevention A dedicated case manager will oversee the project and ensure efficacy by offering short-term financial assistance to address the urgent needs of seniors, enabling them to maintain housing stability and navigate financial crises while also working towards long-term solutions for homelessness prevention.
Interfaith Community Services Homelessness Prevention for North County Older Adults Targeted, short-term financial assistance to help seniors at risk of homelessness, particularly those facing eviction or housing crises. A dedicated case manager will assess individual needs and develop personalized service plans while offering case management and referrals to various housing solutions.
Jewish Family Service of San Diego The two Safe Parking Program locations in North County will help individuals and families living in their vehicles by offering a safe place to sleep and comprehensive support services. The program provides basic needs like bathrooms, hygiene supplies, and food, along with case management to assist participants in finding stable housing.
The Brother Benno Foundation Emergency Assistance for Seniors Financial assistance will help seniors navigate unexpected expenses, preventing crises that could lead to eviction or utility shutoffs. Flex funding will be essential for addressing urgent needs such as rental or utility payments and supporting other critical services.
Betty Scalice Foundation Music Grants The Betty Scalice Foundation Music Grants support community concerts; youth musical performances; low-cost classroom musical instruments; classroom programs that offer music and performances at schools; low-cost equipment that supports the teaching of choral music; and related programs that promote music appreciation. In 2026, this grant cycle will shift to once annually.
