Charitable Giving | Health New England Community Benefits Requests At Health New England, we are deeply committed to improving the health and lives of people in our community. We are part of the fabric of our cities and towns, the places in which we live and work, and the people who drive change for the better.
Through the efforts of our Community Benefits Program, we touch the lives of thousands of people that reside within the communities we serve. Our community benefit awards are prioritized to organizations that offer programs or initiatives that address to specific health priorities and target populations as identified in our Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) Report .
Health Equity Grant Program Health New England is committing $185,000 to advancing health equity to improve health or health care-related needs in Western Massachusetts. Our Health Equity Mini Grant will award up to $10,000 per organization. Submissions are due by noon, August 4, 2025.
Health Equity Mini Grant Criteria: Address health equity to improve health or health care related needs. Focus on at least one social determinants of health. Built environment (includes transportation, access to healthy foods) Social environment (social isolation, institutional racism) An organization must be a registered as a non-profit 501c3.
Organizations must have programs that target communities in Health New England’s service area, including Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire and Worcester Counties in Massachusetts. The Health Equity Mini Grant application process All applicants are required to complete the grant application by August 4, 2025. Only complete submissions made online will be considered.
Only one application per nonprofit organization will be accepted. Please send questions to Katie Bruno , MPH, Manager, Quality Improvement Programs. Submit your Grant Application by noon on August 4, 2025.
