Nike Community Impact Fund is a grant from Nike, Inc. that powers youth sport and play in communities surrounding Nike employee locations across North America and Europe. The program invests in local nonprofit organizations driving positive, lasting change by making sport and active play accessible to all youth.
What makes this fund distinctive is its employee-led design: Nike teammates volunteer on local grant review committees, using their neighborhood knowledge to select recipients. Organizations can apply each January for grants distributed by May. Eligible cities span the Netherlands, Belgium, and multiple U.S. metropolitan areas including Portland, Oregon; St.
Louis, Missouri; and Memphis, Tennessee. Youth-focused nonprofits working to remove barriers to sports participation are encouraged to apply.

We do this by investing in local nonprofit organizations that are driving positive, lasting change and making play possible for all youth in their communities. NCIF fuels employee community engagement, by inviting Nike teammates to get involved in the grant selection process.
This employee-led, neighborhood-focused approach allows us to support organizations that we’re confident can make a big impact on their communities — because no one knows what their neighborhood needs better than the people who live and work there. Starting in January, local organizations in NCIF-supported communities in our employee backyards can apply for a grant.
A volunteer committee comprised of local Nike teammates — from offices, logistic centers and Air Manufacturing and Innovation sites — is trained on how to review grant applications. NCIF committee members share their local insights and provide recommendations on which organizations should receive funding. By the end of May, local organizations are notified about their grant requests and grant disbursements are made.
