Grantmaking - Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Foundation The Cal-Nev-Ha Children's Fund offers an array of grant programs to our Kiwanis Family clubs to enhance and further their efforts to build a better future for our children. If your club received a grant from the Cal-Nev-Ha Children's Fund, be sure to complete your grant reports so we can feature your great work too! The Cal-Nev-Ha Children’s Fund supports Kiwanis clubs’ interest in their local community needs. Often, however, a community need may far exceed a club’s ability to get the project started.
The Club Grant Program was developed in 1984 to assist clubs with seed money when the scope of a service project exceeds the club’s financial resources. Disaster Assistance Grants The Disaster Assistance Grant Program was established to assist Kiwanis clubs in providing immediate disaster relief assistance in the event of a natural disaster.
Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP) Grants As part of our major focus, the Cal-Nev-Ha Children's Fund offers Pediatric Trauma Program Grants to our Kiwanis and Service Leadership Programs (SLP) clubs by providing matching start-up funds to assist them in financing new service projects which seek to prevent and/or treat pediatric trauma – defined as sudden, unintentional physical injury – or for projects which seek to prevent and/or treat child/teen mental health issues.
PTP Grants for Partner Hospitals PTP Grants for Partner Hospitals: The PTP Grant Program for Partner Hospitals makes available grants to our Partner Hospitals to assist them with their unfunded needs directly related to pediatric trauma and injury prevention.
Examples may include, but are not limited to the following: Supporting existing and new community outreach programs which seek to prevent and/or treat pediatric trauma – defined as sudden, unintentional physical injury; Providing funding to train doctors and nurses in advanced pediatric courses; and Purchasing pediatric medical equipment.
