Pre-Approved Equipment Order Grant is sponsored by Colorado Green Business Network (CGBN). This grant provides funding for pre-approved equipment that supports environmental sustainability.

This grant provides unique/ custom projects that will save energy, fuel, and/or water; we cover equipment, shipping, installation, labor, and recycling costs up to $1,500, $3,000, or $4,500 depending on the Colorado EnviroScreen percentile score of the business location.

** These grants are intended to support businesses across the state of all sectors and sizes by funding equipment and projects that save businesses money, reduce the use of natural resources, enhance operational efficiency, and protect public health. ## Can I apply for both grant opportunities?

Register for CGBN in GreenBiz Tracker. The CGBN Efficiency Grant aims to fund and promote custom projects that increase energy, fuel, and water efficiency.

The intention of this grant is to allow grantees to select the projects that uniquely fit their needs and sustainability goals, so there’s no specific list of the kinds of projects that are eligible— as long as they save energy, fuel, and/or water. This grant also will provide additional funding to businesses in communities that face disproportionate health risks and burdens, as defined by CDPHE EnviroScreen percentile scores.

### Eligibility Requirements: * Be a business, nonprofit, school, organization, or local government located in Colorado * Registered and in “good standing” with the Colorado Secretary of State ### Project Requirements: * Must result in the reduction in total amount / increased efficiency of energy, fuel, or water used in operations.

* Estimated energy, fuel, or water savings must be provided either by a contractor in writing or by the business if all calculations, assumptions, and data sources are provided. * This is not a reimbursement program. Projects cannot be completed prior to application.

### Eligible Covered Costs: * Purchasing, shipping, and installing new/replacement equipment * Recycling/ decommissioning equipment that is being replaced * Retrofitting, maintaining, and cleaning existing equipment All businesses that meet the above requirements are eligible for up to $1,500 in eligible covered costs.

In an effort to provide additional support to businesses in communities that face disproportionate health risks and burdens, additional funding is available to businesses in these areas based on their Colorado EnviroScreen percentile score. Ensure you are registered with the Colorado Green Business Network in GreenBiz Tracker 2. Identify custom equipment / project 3. Gather contractor quotes with estimated costs and estimated energy, fuel, or water savings 4.

Apply at the link above 5. Confirm project details and estimated metrics/savings with CGBN 6. Equipment is purchased / contractor is paid by CGBN 7.

Project is completed / equipment is installed 8. Photos of installed equipment/ completed project are sent to CGBN ## CGBN Pre-Approved Equipment Grant The CGBN Pre-Approved Equipment Grant provides a simple way for Colorado businesses to receive energy- and water-saving equipment.

Eligible applicants select from pre-approved items directly from our inventory catalog, and CGBN covers all equipment and shipping expenses up to $500 per business. Participating businesses are responsible for coordinating the installation of their selected equipment.

### Eligibility Requirements: * Be a business, nonprofit, school, organization, or local government located in Colorado * Have an updated registration with the IRS (W-9 form, sample here) ### Project Requirements: * This is not a reimbursement program. CGBN cannot reimburse businesses for equipment purchased independently. All hardware must be ordered directly through the application form above to be eligible for the grant.

* Funding is capped at $500 per business per grant cycle. However, eligible organizations are welcome to reapply every year. * Equipment must be installed at the business that applies for the grant.

* Equipment may not be sold, donated, or provided to other organizations. ### Eligible Covered Costs: * Only equipment listed in the application link is eligible for this grant * Contractor or installation costs are not covered by this grant * Each eligible business can receive up to $500 in equipment and shipping costs. CGBN pays directly for the equipment and shipping costs.

### Application Process & Timeline: * The grant is open from August 1st through May 1st each year. * This is a first-come-first serve grant. We will provide equipment to eligible businesses while funds are available.

If the ordering link is still open, we are still accepting applications. * Once you complete your application form, CGBN will reach out to you to confirm your order. * Once you receive equipment, CGBN will reach out to confirm installation.
