Quality of Life Grants | Johnson County FY27 Request for Proposals is Open May 6, 2026 – May 27, 2026 The Johnson County FY27 Quality of Life Grant Program supports projects that enhance community life, foster connection, and improve shared experiences across Johnson County. Grants are intended to support programmatic activities only and must provide a clear public benefit.
Competitive proposals will demonstrate how they strengthen community connection, expand access to activities or shared spaces, and contribute to the overall quality of life for residents. All projects must be open and accessible to the public and aligned with the program’s funding priorities. An informational webinar was held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 1pm.

Grants will be awarded per the timeline below (subject to change): Application Period: Wednesday, May 6, 2026 – Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 4:00 pm CDT Informational Webinar: Tuesday, May 12, 2026 1pm – 2pm Application Review Period: Thursday, May 28 – Thursday, June 11, 2026 Notification of Awards: Friday, June 12, 2026 Contract Development & Execution: Monday, June 15 – Tuesday, June 30, 2026 Award Period Begins: Wednesday, July 1, 2026 Mid-Year Report Due: Friday, January 29, 2027 Final Invoice Reminder: Tuesday, June 1, 2027 Final Report Due: Friday, July 30, 2027 Application Guidelines Apply Applications will be open from May 6 through May 27, 2026 at 4pm.

Tiered Funding Funding is available through two tiers: • Tier 1: Community Event Sponsorships — awards from $1,000 to $4,999 to support community events and activities that bring people together • Tier 2: Community Program Grants — awards from $5,000 to $30,000 to support larger programmatic initiatives that provide ongoing or broader community benefit.

What gives? A: We have begun transitioning to Euna Grants Powered by Amplifund, which is essentially a brand new platform for Johnson County, so all previous-year applicants will need to register for a new account. Q: Last year, there was a separate application for Economic Development proposals.
Where is it this year? A: Previous years' Economic Development & Quality of Life grant programs are encompassed under the Quality of Life program umbrella for FY27. Q: Are partnerships or fiscal sponsorships required or are stand-alone organizations welcome to apply?
A: Stand-alone organizations are welcome to apply. Q: Will you share slides from the webinar? A: Yes.

Q: Are projects operating within school districts eligible? A; There are no restrictions specifically excluding projects within school districts. Q: Are applicant organizations and/or funded projects eligible for consecutive years?
A: There are currently no restrictions preventing duplicate applications in consecutive years; future years may adopt different restrictions. Q: My event isn't necessarily open to the general public; is my project still eligible? A: For purposes of this grant, “open to the public” does not necessarily mean that every activity must be open to the entire general public without any limits.
We understand that some programs or events may be designed for a specific audience, such as youth, families, volunteers, or participants in a particular program. The key point is that County funds should support activities with a public or community benefit and should not be used only for activities that are restricted to people who have paid to participate, purchased a ticket, or otherwise have exclusive access.
For example, an event may be limited by age, space, program focus, or intended audience, but there should still be a meaningful way for eligible community members to participate free of charge.
