Recovery & Mental Health Grants - Mental Health is sponsored by Crown The Foundation. Grants are offered to support individuals seeking or currently in treatment for mental health challenges.

RECOVERY & MENTAL HEALTH GRANTS To support members of the community seeking, or in treatment for addiction, and who need financial assistance, we're offering ongoing access to grants. Contingent upon assessment and approval, needs-based funding will be disbursed directly to certified programs, service providers, or insurers on behalf of grant recipients. Questions?

Licensed Addictions Counselor: a professional who is licensed to provide counseling and treatment for people with substance use disorders and related behavioral health issues (in some states, also known as LCADC — “Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor”) Licensed Clinical Social Worker: a mental health professional with a master’s degree in social work (MSW) who has completed additional clinical training Licensed Mental Health Counselor: a licensed therapist with a master’s degree in counseling or a related field, and primarily focuses on mental health disorders.

In the therapy world, an individual with “MA” after their name usually has a Master of Arts in Psychology or a Master of Arts in Counseling. Marriage and Family Therapist: Specializes in relationship and family dynamics; including marital issues, parent-child relationships, individual mental health concerns, and more.

Registered Behavior Technician: a certified professional who practices behavior therapy and works under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Applied Behavioral Analysis: an approach to understanding and improving behavior that is primarily used to treat individuals with autism spectrum disorder, and is also effective at treating anxiety, ADHD and OCD.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy : type of therapy that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. It is used for treating conditions like anxiety, depression, PTSD, and OCD. Dialectical Behavior Therapy: type of CBT developed specifically for individuals with borderline personality disorder (BPD), and is also proven effective in treating: depression, anxiety, self-harm, PTSD, and eating disorders.

DBT emphasizes building skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing: type of therapy used primarily for trauma and PTSD, and is believed to help the brain reprocess traumatic memories in a healthier way.
