Deadline to apply: March 16, 2026 2026 Eligibility + Guidelines List Your Company's Summer Internships Congratulations to the 2025 SCbio Foundation Grant Recipients: Lily Kirkland , an undergraduate student at the College of Charleston, will intern at the Zucker Institute for Innovation Commercialization, an organization dedicated to transforming assets owned by the Medical University of South Carolina into products and services that meet critical medical needs globally.
Nisa Soltani , an undergraduate student at the College of Charleston, received an internship at Penzievision, an organization that uses 3D imaging technology to detect cancer in various parts of the human body. The SCbio Foundation, in partnership with SCbio, works with students of all ages to appropriately engage them in the industry and assist with teaching life skills.

Funded scope includes empirical measurement of AI adoption across industries and occupations, task-level analyses of AI capabilities and displacement, longitudinal studies of worker outcomes, AI's effects on inequality and labor market polarization, evaluation of reskilling and transition programs, AI's role in entrepreneurship and small business productivity, and policy-relevant work on social safety nets and labor regulation in an AI economy.
Path to a Cure Research Grant is a grant from Cystic Fibrosis Foundation that funds basic science research aimed at restoring CFTR protein function or developing gene-based approaches to treat cystic fibrosis. The program specifically targets projects proposing restoration of CFTR protein function or approaches to fix or replace the defective CFTR gene.
