Loan Repayment Assistance Program | LSC - Legal Services Corporation: America's Partner for Equal Justice Loan Repayment Assistance Program LSC provides a limited number of forgivable loans to attorneys employed by LSC grantee organizations to help repay law school debt.
Since 2006, the Legal Services Corporation (LSC) has supported attorneys employed full-time by LSC-funded legal services programs (LSC grantees) in repaying student loan debt incurred for undergraduate, graduate, and legal education. The Herbert S. Garten Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP) remains a key tool for LSC grantees to recruit and retain talented attorneys committed to public service.
The 2026 LRAP Application opened on April 22, 2026 Learn about the LRAP application process. How to Apply for the Loan Repayment Assistance Program Reimbursement Award and Payment Process LRAP recipients will receive one reimbursement payment per employment period. The 2026 LRAP Cycle will take place in late December 2026 and early January 2027.
