Home - The Fund for Innovation in Cancer Informatics The Fund for Innovation in Cancer Informatics (ICI) provides grants to support and test novel bioinformatics applications in cancer aimed at clinical impact.
The Fund enables cancer researchers to develop data on the efficacy of their approach that may in turn enable them to obtain additional funding from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and other research foundations supporting cancer research. The overall goals of the Fund are to lower barriers to innovation and to impact patient care and treatment options .
ICI employs a concise proposal process and works to make approved grants available 4-8 weeks from the deadline for application to help move innovative work forward. The ICI Fund believes that cancer will be cured faster if we are more open about our discoveries and share them. We encourage and support grants that share their data, software and research results with others.
Thus, the ICI Fund is less likely to fund proprietary software or efforts that benefit a single institution. ICI Funded Work That Demonstrates Clinical Impact Discovery and Validation of Tandem Mutations Driving Cancer

The Creation and Analysis of Data Resources to Further Cancer Research is sponsored by The Fund for Innovation in Cancer Informatics (ICI). ICI grants support investigator-initiated projects focused on creating and analyzing new data resources (genomic, clinical, imaging, microbiome, and other data from cancer patients) or analyzing current data resources to further cancer research.
